    Even if you are not a computer person, this is a fine story about fraud that relied on the failure by authorities to perceive danger and take simple steps to avert it. Mr. Stohl was like the little boy that asked why the emperor had no clothes on. As a person who first went online in the '80s, references to milnet and arapnet evoked that era.

    It was interesting to read about the technology of the late 1980's. I ran across the book in a recent special report in the Wall Street Journal about cyber security.
