Putrid and strategically nihilistic, this book is full of unhinged characters with their own agendas and unresolved traumas. Following the story of Lucas, a man descending to the depths for his mad scientist brother, Clayton, "The Deep" is a mixed trip to your own childhood nightmares and futuristic worries. You'll experience darkness, confusion, pure horror, and the rising of a monster too impossible to fathom. While its promising fa?ade offers shallow resolution for the problematically-plagued world above, there's something even worse about to rise to the surface once our two brothers collide in the most twisted fashion. Do not read if you are not a fan of body horror.
HPB Staff ReviewDid not like this book as much as I enjoyed Nick Cutters "The Troop" It had some positive moments, but not my favorite.
