A great family read.
LeAnn B. - 6 years 4 months agoMy 11 year old daughter and I read this book together after it was recommended by a librarian. We both thought it was a great book. My daughter liked the book because of the adventure and mystery. The main character has the age-old problem of feeling misunderstood by her parents. But what I really liked was that instead of finding community in a group of disheartened peers she finds it within her extended family. She finds someone who can relate to her but also help her to be successful in her own way. The clever way the author snuck in little bits of real science history was great and my daughter got interested in it without even realizing she had strayed into the dreaded realm of nonfiction. Awesome! #SummerReading
