    Delving into the dark recesses of the human psyche, The Hellbound Heart is a takes a look at the differences and similarities between pleasure and pain... and the extremes to which people will go to obtain pleasure. Clive Barker eventually wrote and directed this as the movie Hellraiser. This book is quite different for those that are fans of the movie, but in great ways. The book has much more character development.
