    This was my favorite book when I was a child, and is still fun to read to my kids. I'm still not sure what the moral of the story is....it seems to be an homage to being "pokey" and doing things "in your own sweet time". However muddled, this book has dessert, a LOT of dessert. That's probably the reason why I still love to read with gusto the words "rice pudding"! I would recommend this to anyone who has a sweet tooth, or who marches to the beat of their own drum.
