Overview

This book is a reproduction of the original medieval manuscript, one of the most famous Hebrew illuminated manuscripts. The original is believed to have been created in 1350 in northern Spain, before being lost to time and resurfacing in Sarajevo at the end of the 19th century. The text of this book contains the home service for the eve of Passover, including prayers, anecdotes, expositions, psalms, and hymns, all centering on the story of the Exodus and the deliverance of the Hebrews from Egypt. This volume recreates the beautifully detailed original illustrations that give considerable insight into Biblical and Jewish history as well as Medieval history. The book is in near fine condition, with very light rubbing of the dust jacket at the corners. The slipcase is in good condition, with light soiling and moderate rubbing along the edges.
