A book discussing the work of sculptor Chalres Umlauf who was inspired by both Cubist and Expressionist art. His sculptures are filled with motion and pathos, and his house is now a museum and sculpture garden in Austin, Texas. This copy is signed by Umlauf with an inscription reading "to Roy Vaughn, with warm regards from Angeline and Charles Umlauf." The book is bound in clay colored cloth and has a simple black dust jacket with an image of one of Umlauf's sculptures. The book is in NEAR FINE condition, with minor damage to the top of the dust jacket on the spine and bending along the top edge of the dust jacket.
