Overview

Mackenzie Allen Phillips's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

  • Enlightening read

Wonderful book. So many profound thoughts expressed by this author that you find yourself re-reading passages over and over. His interpretation of the Holy Trinity is superb. Makes one a believer if you weren't already.

  • Fantastic Book!

I normally don't read this type of book, but because of the length of time it was on the Best Seller List, not to mention all the controversy about it, I had to read it. It turned out to be one of my favorite books (and movies). It explains religion and God in a way that I can absolutely relate to. God is where you want him/her to be. I think it is a wonderful book that everyone should read!

This book was phenomenal, I highly recommend it! This book is just another way we are shown the greatness of God through our faith. Even when things don't make sense or seems like our world is crashing down around us with nowhere to go. When is seems like your world may be in a downward spiral, you don't know what to do, or lost and looking for some direction, pick up this book, you'll be glad you did! #SummerReading
