This is one of my favourite standalones! I appreciate Tricia Levenseller for keeping it a standalone, while appraising her ability to built a whole world and conclude a story in one book! I'm in love with Alessandra, the main character. I love her ambition, strength and how empowering she is. She reminded me of Aelin from the 'Throne of Glass' series. Two strong women who are bigger than society's views. And who doesn't like to read of that? From the moment I read that this is to be a "Slytherin romance", I KNEW I was going to like it! “It is what originally caught my interest, but I lose interest in everything sooner or later. Everything save you. Because in you, I found my match. In you, I found my equal.” I loved the romance. They are just so perfect for each other and immaculately match each other's ambitions to be greater. I don't know what is so addicting about watching two VERY morally grey characters fall in love and become one. But IT IS. I recommend this to anyone who is intrigued by the mention of, so called, "Slytherin Romance"!! #SpringPicks
i Loved this book! every aspect was done amazingly!! Levenseller does a spectacular job of world building! and the romance was so good and i didnt know what was gonna happen throughout the whole book. highly recommend.
I loved this book. Tricia Levenseller is my favorite author and Alessandra is AMAZING. You should totally read it.
From the first sentence I was hooked. This book is incredible. The mystery is compelling and the morally gray characters make this book an interesting story as opposed to the always moral and perfect hero tropes. I love that the heroine is different from other female protagonists and while I may not always agree with her actions I can’t help but root for her.
It was definitely an unexpected YA book. I found it refreshing, and the romance was top-notch. I thought some of the twists were kinda predictable, but it was still enjoyable!
