For the future thriller connoisseur
Sara E. - 3 years 7 months agoEllen Raskin published this twisty puzzle of a book in 1979 and 40 years later, its as fun as ever. The Westing Game is a lovingly crafted, cleverly developed, and thoroughly satisfying mystery. A perfect pick for readers who are too young for Investigation Discovery specials and Ruth Ware.

The Westing Game----A mysterious plot with plenty of intrigue
Eleanor B. - 6 years 3 months agoA mysterious puzzle novel with clever plot twists and always some thing new to discover in every re-read. When the eccentric millionaire Sam Westing dies, his will is read and sixteen heirs are named. They are all very surprised that they are named heirs and each bring their own quirks to the story. I would recommend this book for readers ages 9+ who love a story with plenty of suspense and mystery. Every time I re-read this book I discover another little twist to the story that I might not have noticed last time I read it. Definitely worth the read. #SummerReading

A little slow
Tami N. - 6 years 3 months agoThe Westing Game- An option for class reading, probably the most interesting of the options. Mr. Westing knew he was going to be murdered and writes it in his will. When he is killed, everyone is under one roof and put together to find out who the killer is. Very board game clue like. It was an okay read, but fairly slow in my opinion. #SummerReading

Magdalena B. - 6 years 4 months agoThe Westing Game is one of my family's favorite books. We love the fast pace of the plot, and the mystery-like storyline that keeps readers guessing until the end. Having read it more than once, I can honestly say that it is the sort of book where you see something new every time you read it. It is not really a childrens book, but is appropriate for younger readers who want to experience something deeper than the average fiction book. I would recommend this book to mystery and whodunit fans of all ages.
