The instant New York Times Bestseller!
A fiendishly smart cat-and-mouse thriller --New York Times Book Review0
This book was something that was completely unexpected. Featuring a strong female protagonist, this book kept me engaged with the riveting POV and language. The novel is separated into parts, and the entire first part I was assuming I knew what was going on. By the time I got to the end of the first part, I was on the edge of my seat in shock at the loop the authors throw you for. It's not very often that I'm surprised this way by a book! The authors have an amazing way of using storytelling to keep you turning the pages, constantly wanting more because they give you just enough to keep you interested. I loved the portrayal of emotions and how easy it was for me to put myself in the main character's place. I could feel her fear and frustration, it was amazing. If you're looking for a book that keeps you on your toes that takes you through surprising twists and turns, this book is for you. You won't expect the ending nor the multiple plot twists! This is definitely a new favorite of mine. #SpringPicks
This was my first book by these two and I loved it. A wild ride trying to figure out what’s going on. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected and figured out the twist about halfway through though I was happy to be right. The characters are engaging even with the first person POV and I cared about what happened to them. Honestly it feels like a movie. I’m shocked it isn’t a movie yet years later. The emotion, the fear, the upset, and I felt every part. It’s a masterclass in description without going too far and I’m not a huge fan of overly descriptive books or stories. The overarching story is not at all what you think it is and the ending is something you won’t see coming. I know I didn’t. It got me though. It really shocked me. This is the one that made me a huge fan even with figuring out the twist early on. Really recommend this and their other books.
