This must-have collectible edition of THRONE OF GLASS, the exciting first book in the New York Times bestselling series, features a deluxe package, brand new interior page designs, and more-perfect for Sarah J. Maas fans.
This lush, one-of-a-kind edition of the book that started a world-wide phenomenon tells the sweeping saga of Celaena Sardothien who lives in a land without magic, where the king rules with an iron hand. Celaena is summoned to the castle-not to assassinate the king, but to win her freedom. If she defeats twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition, she will be released from prison to serve as the king's champion.
The Crown Prince will befriend her. The Captain of the Guard will protect her. But something evil dwells in the castle of glass-and it's there to kill. When her competitors start dying one by one, Celaena's fight for freedom becomes a fight for survival, and a desperate quest to root out the evil before it destroys her world.
Now available in an all-new, deluxe package, the THRONE OF GLASS COLLECTOR'S EDITION features a cloth slipcase with unique foil art on the case and the book cover, a ribbon pull, beautiful brand-new interior page designs, metallic endpapers, and a new map of Erilea.

I really enjoyed the imagination and creativity with the characters of this series. I found it had great comedic timing and drama through out the entire book. A lot of action combined with really interesting twists and turns for the plot. Also loved how the main character was strong willed.
HPB Staff ReviewIf you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and that genre, I don't believe it would be possible not to be riveted to this series. I will be starting the 5th book shortly and find them hard to put down. While this is categorized as directed toward teens, as an avid reader well over 60, I would strongly say that Sarah J Maas has set the bar for a fiction series regardless of the age of the reader.
this actually took me so long to finish??? plot - fun but a lot slower paced than i was expecting. i do feel like this book is setting up the rest of the series. which i don’t mind!! bc that just makes me more excited to keep reading! to be completely honest some scenes i had no idea what was going on LOL like i couldn’t picture it. but that’s just me personally. and my inability to FOCUS! characters- as far as a main protagonist goes, celaena was fun to read from!! she was pretty chill but you could tell she has a lot more dynamic then she shows to others. i’m excited to see her grow. dorian is... perfect? he reminds me a bit of maxon. like sweet prince? yes please. i do hope he has more content ? than just him being in love w celaena. chaol, is one of my favorites. his interactions w celaena were so cute to read from, it just seems a lot more laidback than w others. i can’t wait to read more w him 🥺. nehemiah, was a nice friend!! i liked her involvement & her kind of mystery of intention. overall i liked it !
Sarah J. Maas did such an amazing job i love all her books and this one was amazing. i highly recommend if you like Badass female leads and handsome princes, royalty and assassins
This series is so fun. I know it's supposed to be fairly YA, but I personally don't think it comes of particularly immature. There are considerable adult themes, surrounding death, violence, and complex emotional trauma. The first book in the series is an exciting ride and sets the tone and introduces the first of the core characters, which only evolves more and more in the following books. This is a great first book and will leave you wanting more. There IS a prequel that is worth reading for the backstory, The Assasin's Blade. You don't need to read it right away, but try to before the 4th or 5th book! #SpringPicks
