Overview

To All the Boys I've Loved Before is now a major motion picture streaming on Netflix

Lara Jean's love life gets complicated in this New York Times bestselling "lovely, lighthearted romance" (School Library Journal) from the bestselling author of The Summer I Turned Pretty series.

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them...all at once?

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren't love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she's written. One for every boy she's ever loved--five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean's love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

  • Light reading that leaves you wanting more!

After watching the Netflix original film adaptation 4 times, I took the source material for a spin and was certainly not disappointed. This book features my new favorite teen fiction protagonist, Lara Jean Song Covey. Never before has my teenage-self identified better with a fictional character. Lara Jean is an inexperienced hopeless romantic who gets herself into the classic Fake Relationship. The interactions between the characters feel honest and familiar, and while their insecurities hit much too close to home, they aren't so cringe-worthy that you feel the need to look away. The book explores first loves, cultural differences, death, divorce, friendship, etc. It is an absolute treat!

Jenny Han had a way with words. She creates these sweet adolescent worlds that are so relatable for teens and bring back memories for those older. It was hard not to be immediately swept up into the world of Lara Jean. What always impresses me about Han's books is the unpredictability. I did not expect for things to happen the way they did and that's what made this story so fresh and unique. I don't want to give anything away, but if you are looking for a sweet story about first love and sisterhood, this is a sure winner. #SummerReading

I loved this book. Its wonderful. Really good to give to middle and high school girls who love romance. My daughters loved it. They read it after I did.

I don't consider myself a heavy reader, but during these hard times in quarantine I decided to give reading a chance. I snapped my way through a few nonfiction novels and I almost considered going back to reading one novel every few years LOL. When a friend recommended this novel, I was skeptical. I never enjoyed romance before but J gave it a shot anyways. To all the boys is exciting and funny. Sometimes i empathized with the main characters and others her choices drove me crazy. All around, it was a fun read. I finished it in a sitting and ran to half price to buy the second novel. Jenny Han is a great writer. I'm convinced she's is one of the best contemporary writers of YA fiction today! 10/10 would recommend you picking up a copy today!! #SUMMERREADING

I seriously fell in love with this book and the other two! The characters are brought to life really well. It's amazing how well lara jean describes her high school, takes a person back. The love, the drama, the sadness of everyday life, friendships.
