  • The brilliant first novel of the renowned comics writer

    Rick E. - 2 years 5 months ago

Alan Moore's tale of tragedy and terrible wrongs that haunt future generations covers a span of six-thousand years. Moore's hometown of Northampton, England is brought to heart-breaking life with the author's trademark cynicism and realism. His prose drips with a bleak beauty that paints a picture as vivid as any of the artwork created for his comics. Highly recommended for any fan of his comics work or fans of authors like Cormac McCarthy.

In "Voice of the Fire," Alan Moore demonstrates why he is perhaps the greatest living storyteller. By masterfully blending aspects of horror with poetic prose, Moore effortlessly holds the reader under his spell. Each chapter is woven carefully together like a puzzle. Its facets are as complex as they are compelling. "Voice of the Fire" is both a terrifying and devastatingly beautiful portrait of a lost history. I cannot recommend this book enough to fans of Lovecraft or Poe. It is simply a must read.
