A very early copy of the vocal score to one of the most beloved musicals of all time. This edition predates the film adaptation by two years and coincides with the stage musical's first national tour. Sondheim, considered one of the 20th century's brightest theatrical lghts, wrote the musicals "Gypsy" and "Sweeney Todd," among many others. This copy's previous owner, Broadway producer Jack Lane, has been nominated for eight Tony awards, winning two ("Fun Home" and "The Humans").
