  • Beautifully written, forever a favorite!

    Stacie H. - 6 years 4 months ago

Best known for his coming of age work Hatchet, this time Gary Paulsen brings the reader with him as he traverses the Alaskan wilderness with his dogsled team to run the Iditarod. The story is real, reminding us how harsh and beautiful the tundra can be. Paulsen's writing is such that you feel you're there with him. The little details he throws in about the towns and people he meets along the way make for a truly well rounded account of his adventure and tell a story that you want to read over and over again. #SummerReading
