  • A fantastic start to an epic saga

    This book is an amazing beginning to the Sword of Truth series. It can also be read as a standalone novel, but you will be left wanting to know what happens to the fantastic characters that Terry Goodkind created. The fantasy tones are subtle but extremely engaging, making this a perfect introduction to the genre for new fantasy readers.

    This book and series are among my favorites. The beginning of this book will draw you in and keep you reading well into the night, so be careful. If you like fantasy novels, this book is worth purchasing. This book is always good to reread as well. #SpringPicks

  • Good vs evil: the wizard's rules can apply to us all.

    This is a fabulous story! Along the lines of a grown up Harry Potter. Pick it up and you will get addicted. The characters come to life and you feel like you know them. I was not a fan of this genre until I was given this book to check out. Now I have everything Terry Goodkind has written.

    WIZARD'S FIRST RULE is easy to read and to follow. It makes the reader thin, "What would I do in this situation?". In fact. All of Terry Goodkind's books are just as great as the one before. A good way to ride out the quarantine.

    This is a wonderful series to get into! Good characters and lots of action to keep you interested the whole read! I love the use of detail and how deep the world is; this really drew me into the story.
